                 Board of Trustees Report

Excerpts from the Board of Trustees meeting 2/2/1999

Present: (Present: Suresh Undavia, Preeti Agarwal, Pratima Patel, Santosh Subramaniam, Paul Vakharia); Invited Guest: Hasmukh Amin

A discussion about IPAS its origin, and its relationship with ICC took place. BOT felt that the goals of IPAS could easily be served by the existing ICC structure, and the formation of a separate organization was not conducive to unity. But IPAS wishes to be independent and is not willing to operate under ICC rules and regulations. BOT voted not to recommend formation of IPAS. The BOT also voted that it neither wanted to encourage or discourage the formation of IPAS independent of ICC. On the provision of a Tax ID number and

a bill, the issue of pending payments would be resolved. (Note: this has since been resolved).

Other items voted on:

· Any transactions above $2000, the president should bring it to the attention of BOT and discuss before any transaction is made.

· Write a letter to Mr. Chopra regarding the donation of chairs to ICC.

· Only excerpts, rather than the full minutes, be published in Triveni due to space limitations.
